We just got back from our 34 week doctor's appointment and got some very interesting news. My doctor said that 34 weeks is the milestone after which they will not try to stop contractions if I have them. If born today, Aria is not at risk for major birth defects, so they would deliver her as normal. CRAZY! Although, we still want her to stay in my belly until 37 weeks, which is when she will be considered full term.
Also, we got our first guesstimate of Aria's development and size based on my belly measurements. The doctor said Aria is measuring one week ahead and will be 7+ pounds at 40 weeks. I know these are total rough estimates, but it is the first time we've heard how big she will be at birth. So extremely exciting!!!
We have another appointment in 2 weeks, and we will let everyone know if we get updates on her measurements or her approximate due date.

Heather...Rob and I are going to buy two flex plane tickets to drop everything and get on a plane when you go into labor....please tell Shaun to call us any time of day when that happens....We can be down there in a few hours and if Aria is anything like her daddy she might take a while to make her debut. How long was your Mom in labor with you? I also need a name and address of your hospital so we can head straight there after we land. So exciting....we can't wait to hold our little grand daughter! Love you so much!
