Heather and I just got back from our first prenatal appointment, and boy (or girl?!) was it fun! We got to see pictures of the baby and hear its heartbeat!
You should have seen the look of relief on Heather's face when the ultrasound pictures started showing up. She officially believes she's pregnant now! The best part is that her hormone levels should peak in about half a week, so there is little chance of any nausea or sickness happening :) After the doctor left we were bouncing up and down in elation!
Heather's initial estimate of the baby's due date was spot on. The ultrasound picture shows March 23rd based on the size (2.32cm, or 0.91in); however, the doctor says it is more likely to be March 18th, 2010. Hopefully the baby doesn't have to share Uncle Nick's (or Mom's) birthday!
