Today I am 38 weeks pregnant, which means there are only 14 days left until Aria's due date! We would be perfectly happy if she came anytime between now and March 18th, since she was officially considered full term one week ago. Now the waiting game begins!
I am finally starting to notice the common pregnancy symptoms that everyone talks about. Until now I wouldn't have felt pregnant if it wasn't for my growing belly and Aria moving inside me. But things have changed in the last week. I feel exhausted all the time. I try to get 8 hours of sleep at night, but I wake up at least 3 or 4 times every night and don't fall back asleep for up to 45 minutes later. I think Aria is trying to tell me what her feeding schedule will be.
My fingers are also swollen and really sore. I find myself massaging my hands constantly to try and relieve the soreness. This morning I woke up with sore toes too, so I think it is only a matter of time before my feet start to swell as well.
Other than these minor problems I still feel great! Since I am off of work now, I am going to try and implement daily naps and daily walks. Hopefully this new routine will give me more energy.
I'm sure you are all wondering how my belly looks now. Well here it is! As Shaun said when he took this picture, it looks like I am holding a beach ball!

As for Aria, she should be over 6 and a half pounds and 19 inches long now! She is growing so fast!
We have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, and even though I don't think we will find out more information on how big Aria is or how much internal progress I have made, we will let you know if we get more information.

Wow...you are getting so big. Doesnt look like she has dropped yet though...do they still look for that? We are hoping she holds out until after the 15th. Robs big project is over then and we are jumping in the car and heading down to San Jose. Keep us in touch with what happens at your next appointment. If she wants her birthday early thats OK by me...can't wait to hold that little one! This is what life is all about. We love you all!
ReplyDeleteThat's amazing! You look amazing and I'm glad you're JUST feeling the pains of pregnancy...Shaun better pick up the slack (poor dads get all the grief eh?) Enjoy these last few days pregnant!
