20 Weeks Pregnant

We've reached the halfway point! Only 20 more weeks until Aria is ready to meet the world... and kick it! I love how she kicks me constantly, just letting me know she is there. She has taken on a new habit of kicking Shaun too :)

At 20 weeks Aria is the length of a banana (10 inches head to heel) and weighs 10.5 ounces.

My belly has grown a ton in the last week. I absolutely look pregnant now, even with clothes on. Here are pictures of the two of us at 20 weeks. Uncle Nick already said that I look huge, but just wait until a couple months from now!

I am still blessed with a very easy pregnancy. The only adverse symptom I've had lately is getting dizzy if I stand for too long. My doctor said this is to be expected, since my blood pressure is fairly low at this stage in the pregnancy.

I also buckled down and bought a "Snoogle" pregnancy pillow. I was having a really hard time sleeping at night because I could never get comfortable sleeping on my side. By 20 weeks, it is recommended to never sleep on my back, since the weight of my uterus could push down on my inferior vena cava, causing inadequate blood flow to my heart. It is also difficult sleeping on my belly, since it keeps growing. Therefore, this pillow helps support side sleeping by wrapping around my entire body. So far I love it!

Our next appointment is on November 9th. We will finally find out the results of the ultrasound we had, to make sure Aria is in perfect health. We should also get an updated due date based on how big she measured.
